The Task Force, co-led by Brazil, Finland, and France, acts as the decision-making body of the Coalition; it sets strategic direction, establishes yearly priorities, guides the Secretariat, and leads in political advocacy. The Task Force consists of 12 countries and regional networks represented through their elected focal points. The current Task Force members are the African Union, Brazil, Finland, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Japan, Kenya, Rwanda, Senegal, Sweden, and the USA.
The Working Group, co-chaired by Brazil, Finland, and France, is an inclusive forum that encompasses all the member countries of the Coalition. It focuses on information sharing, disseminating best practices, establishing partnerships, and sharing expertise and institutional support.
The Partner Group, chaired by the World Food Programme, serves as a forum for all organizations that have endorsed the Declaration of Support and a platform for technical-level information exchange through designated organizational focal points. A new effort that will be led by World Vision International, with the support of other partners, will complement activities of the Partner Group through mobilizing civil society organizations to foster partnerships at country level; supporting advocacy with local, regional and national governments; and facilitating data and research sharing between civil society (CSO) partners and governments. This new effort was launched at the Coalition’s first global meeting in Paris in 2023 through a CSO Call to Action.
The Secretariat, hosted by the World Food Programme, oversees Coalition organization. It offers support to member states, maintaining and developing relationships. This includes outreach to new members and partners; organizing meetings, events and Coalition representation; and providing access to key documents, guidelines and other resources, while keeping stakeholders informed, empowered and motivated. The Secretariat also leads and amplifies advocacy and communications on behalf of Coalition members. The Secretariat supports facilitating the connection of the Coalition initiatives and their outputs, as well as assisting various partner-led initiatives.
