24 July 2024,  Brasil –  Forty-four member states and 34 partners of School Meals Coalition endorsed a School Meals Policy, which was submitted to the G20-led Task Force for a Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty.

 

The School Meals Policy puts forward school meals as an evidence-backed and effective intervention to reduce hunger, poverty and inequality around the world.

 

At the G20 Leaders’ Summit in November this year, the Brasil G20 Presidency is set to officially launch the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, including a Policy Basket with 48 policies. The School Meals Policy now features in the Policy Basket as living document. The version endorsed by 44 member states and 34 partners of School Meals Coalition is shared on this page, for reference.
